Present at nearly all temples dedicated to Alanna is the Alaranni Pomme. It is a thick-husked fruit that grows slowly, with a red, pulp-filled center. Each of the fruits contain three black seeds. The fruit is still unripe when green, but by the time the husk has resembled a rich earth, the seeds have grown to engulf a large portion of the fruit.<ref name="ValinstockFlora">Valinstock, C. It is used in the majority of the temple's healing panaceas. Formulas for treating and preparing the fruit are guarded secrets of the priesthood. However, it is apparent that the pulp is what is used in these elixirs.<ref name="OliviaBotanicalGuide">Olivia, O. P. The seeds germinate easily, but the sprout is extremely fragile. The chemistry requirements of the soil and the nutritional requirements of the seedlings are another well-kept secret.<ref name="ValinstockFlora" />
