Chimera is a general term for any organism containing the DNA of more than one species in a single body working as a single unit.

There are two base type of chimeras; those born through cross-breeding and those made through libromancer endeavors.

The later variety uses ley-line energy to fuse animals that would not normally be capable of cross-breeding. This can be used to fuze both fully grown animals and embryonic specimens. While, embryonic specimens are less likely to reject the various, unrelated parts, development of the nervous system can be problematic for non-specialized libromancers.

The most successful of these types of creatures are commonly known as pseudo-dragons.
